Led by Chris Kent-Ledger
Blue Line Motion is led by Chris Kent-Ledger, whose career has been built around public service, operational responsibility, vehicles, people and working calmly in demanding environments.
A working life built one skill at a time
Chris's grounding in vehicles started long before any uniform. Self-taught in mechanics from the age of 13 and later trained formally through a Peugeot/Talbot college course, he carried that same hands-on curiosity into the British Army, joining the 9th/12th Lancers as a tank driver after qualifying to drive the full range of vehicles used by the British Army. His service included UN peacekeeping duties in Cyprus and patrols in Berlin while the Wall was still standing — experience that shaped a calm, disciplined approach to environments most people only ever see on screen.
On leaving the Army, Chris joined Hertfordshire Police, building a 25-year career in roads policing and rising to sergeant and Senior Investigating Officer. His specialist training and skills saw him called on for major incidents, not only across the UK but internationally — giving him a genuine, tested understanding of how to stay clear-headed, organised and in command of a situation when it matters most.
It was during his police career that Chris began picking up film and television set experience in his spare time — a sideline that has grown into more than 20 years supporting productions, from the early days of Big Brother through to major Hollywood blockbusters. That crossover is exactly what sets Blue Line Motion apart: operational knowledge that's been tested on real productions, not drawn from a manual.
Alongside his advisory and production work, Chris holds a FREC 4 medical qualification backed by extensive hands-on experience, giving productions and events an added layer of safety cover from someone who already understands how a set or live environment runs. Combined with a career built on policing, management and diplomacy, it's this rare mix — practical, calm and genuinely experienced — that makes Chris a straightforward, dependable and reassuring person to have on a project.
